Startup Tab of My Preferences Dialog Box

Use the Startup tab to specify what you see each time that you log in to Vantagepoint: the Welcome page, the last application that you used or a specific application. You can also specify an accounting period default setting.

Field Description
Open Application Used Last Select this option to automatically open the last application that was in use when you logged out.
Open Welcome Page Select this option to have the Welcome page open automatically on login.
Open This Application Select this option to specify the application that will open when you log in. The applications in the list are based on your security role's access rights. If the specified application is subsequently removed from the access rights for your security role, the Welcome page displays instead.
Automatically default to the latest open period Select this option to automatically open the most recent active period when you log in. This option is selected by default. When this option is cleared (not selected), and you have the Accounting or Resource Planning module installed, you must select a period from the Period Selection dialog when you log in.
Automatically default to the latest open period for Active Company This option displays if you are using multiple companies. Select this option to automatically open the most recent active period for the current company when you log in. This option is selected by default. When this option is cleared (not selected), the Period Selection dialog displays when you log in. You must select a period for the current company.
