Firm Searches
When you search for a firm record, the firms that display depend on the application in which you are searching and the type of role that is performing the search.
For example, when you are working in Reporting on Role Security and search for a firm, all firms are available in the search, regardless of Firm Type. If you are searching in Invoice Review, though, the only firm results would include firms with a Firm Type of Client.
Use the Advanced Search feature to search by all available Firms hub grids and fields, based upon your field level security.
The Add a Field drop-down includes all standard and user-defined grid fields associated with the hub or application. Your field level security determines which fields are available for selection.
You can type part of the field name to find it or use the drop-down to locate the desired field. Fields in grids are organized under the grid name in bold. For example, when you select Projects, a list of all grid fields associated with Projects hub is displayed.
Multilevel grid lists default to display with the first folder expanded. Click if you want to expand another folder to display all available fields within it. To close the lists so that only the folders display, click Collapse All.
For projects only, you can select which level of the project you would like to search - project, phase or task.
These constraints on firm types when searching ensure that you have access to the appropriate data for each application.
