General Ledger Budgeting and the Profit Planning Monitor

Use the Profit Planning Monitor to check performance against budgets. For each revenue and expense account, the report displays the budgeted and actual amounts for the current period and year to date.

The report also shows totals for actual and budgeted revenue and expense, and calculates actual and budgeted profit or loss.

At the end of the report, the Profit Planning Monitor displays the following totals:

  • Total Expenses
  • Total Operating Expenses
  • Total Operating Profit/Loss

You generate the Profit Planning Monitor in My Stuff > Reporting > General Ledger.
