Setting Up Payroll
Settings in the Employees hub and in Payroll Settings impact the fields and options that you use in Payroll.

You establish employee withholding information on the Payroll tab of the Employees hub. Employee withholding information can be calculated and tracked based solely on an employee's gross wages or based on the location where work is performed. - Employee Side of Employer Payroll Contribution Setup
Before you establish any employer payroll contribution information, you must first establish company-wide employee contribution codes in Payroll Contribution Setup. - Employee Pay Rate Methods
Before processing payroll, you must establish payroll information for each employee, such as an employee’s pay rate and type, overtime percentage rates, and withholdings. You establish each employee's pay information on the Payroll tab of the Employees hub. - Payroll Direct Deposit Setup
You can directly deposit an employee’s entire net pay, or only a portion of the net pay, to one or more bank accounts. Before you use the direct deposit feature, you must set up employee and bank code information and then run an initial direct deposit for each employee, to submit the necessary information to the banks involved in the transaction. - Cost/Pay Labor Rate Tables and Payroll
You can set up labor rate tables that include override payroll rates for time charged to a project. Each override rate in a given table has an associated effective date.
