Adjust Consolidated GL Budget Amounts by a Fixed Amount
To adjust your consolidated general ledger budget, or to increase or decrease the budget for each period, you can adjust the period amounts by a fixed monetary amount.
Prerequisite:
Open a Consolidated General Ledger budget.
To adjust a budget:
- In the Period Range fields on the Consolidated G/L Budgeting form, enter the range of periods for which you want to adjust the budget.
- In the Budget grid, select the account that you want to adjust.
- On the grid toolbar, click .

On the Adjusting the Annual Budget dialog box, adjust budgets by a fixed amount:
- In the Amount field, enter an amount (for example, enter 100 for $100). To decrease the amount for each period, enter a negative number.
- Click Apply to recalculate the budget for each period by distributing the total monetary amount evenly across the periods.
- On the grid toolbar, click Reset Annual to recalculate the annual budget based on the adjustments made to the period budgets.
- Click Save.
