Adjust Consolidated GL Budget Amounts by a Fixed Amount

To adjust your consolidated general ledger budget, or to increase or decrease the budget for each period, you can adjust the period amounts by a fixed monetary amount.

To adjust a budget:

  1. In the Period Range fields on the Consolidated G/L Budgeting form, enter the range of periods for which you want to adjust the budget.
  2. In the Budget grid, select the account that you want to adjust.
  3. On the grid toolbar, click Other Actions > Adjust Budget.
  4. On the Adjusting the Annual Budget dialog box, adjust budgets by a fixed amount:
    1. In the Amount field, enter an amount (for example, enter 100 for $100). To decrease the amount for each period, enter a negative number.
    2. Click Apply to recalculate the budget for each period by distributing the total monetary amount evenly across the periods.
    3. On the grid toolbar, click Reset Annual to recalculate the annual budget based on the adjustments made to the period budgets.
    4. Click Save.
