Upload a File to the Files Grid
Use the Files grid on the Files and Links tab to upload, view, and store documents related to the current record. Vantagepoint attaches these documents to the record for which they were uploaded.
The Files grid supports various file types, such as image files, Microsoft document files, word processing files, drawing files, spreadsheets, and so on. When you upload a document, a copy of the file is stored in Vantagepoint. You can upload and attach documents only if Vantagepoint has been configured to allow you to attach documents and the file type is an approved file type.

If you are using the Projects hub and your firm uses multiple-level Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), the top level of the WBS has the ability to view all files and links for the project and its lower levels. However, the lower levels can only view the files and links for their level and below. In other words, the parent level can view the lower levels, but child levels cannot view the parent.
If you use the Vantagepoint on-premises product, the Files and Links tab applies only if Transaction Document Management is configured. For more information, see the Supporting Documents and Files online help topic.
This tab name changes from Files & Links to Links when FileStream (a Microsoft SQL Server feature) is not in use.
