  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Use the Context Pane

The Context Pane is your portal to Vantagepoint information while working in the Outlook application.

After you install Vantagepoint Connect, the Context Pane displays in Outlook. Use this pane to access your Vantagepoint contact, firm, and activity information from within the context of client email messages. The data in the Context Pane is dynamic. Vantagepoint Connect determines the contacts to display in the pane based the names entered in the To and cc fields in the email message, and recognizes firm information based on the firms that are associated with the contacts in those emails. Connect then displays any activities, projects, firms, and contacts that are related to those records.

The Context Pane includes an option that lets you log an email's details, to record the subject, time/date, attendees, contacts, and related firm information. The body of the email is added to the log's notes. You can also associate a project with the email.
