Timesheet Alerts

Your system administrator can configure timesheet notification alerts.

Your system administrator can configure Timesheet Due and Labor Billing Transfer Audit alerts in Settings > Time > Alerts. The Timesheet Due alert notifies employees when timesheets need to be submitted and/or notifies approvers when timesheets are submitted for processing. The Labor Billing Transfer Audit alert notifies employees when a line item on a timesheet has hours that are transferred from one project, phase, task, or labor code to another. You must have access to Billing for this option to display.

These alerts can specify:
  • Who should receive alerts.
  • When alerts should be sent.
  • How alerts should be sent (e-mail and/or Notification Center).
  • What message to include in the alert e-mail.

If you are using the Timesheet Line Item Approval feature, your system administrator can also set up alerts to notify principals, project managers, and/or supervisors when users charge time to their projects, and to notify users when line items are rejected by an approver. These alerts are configured in the approval workflow in Settings > Workflow > Approval Workflows in the desktop application.
