Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Open New Period Dialog Box

Use the fields and options to open new periods and define the start and end dates.

Field Description
All Companies If Vantagepoint is configured to support multiple companies, select this option to open the new period for all companies. If Vantagepoint is configured for a single company, this option is not available.
Active Company If Vantagepoint is configured to support multiple companies, select this option to open the new period for the currently active company only. The new period is created for all companies but it remains closed for all other companies until you use the Period Setup utility to open it for them. If Vantagepoint is configured for a single company, this option is not available.
Current Period For the currently active period, this section displays the accounting period and fiscal year, the accounting period start and end dates, and the fiscal year start and end dates.
New Period For the new period, this section displays the accounting period and fiscal year, the default accounting period start and end dates, and the default fiscal year start and end dates. If necessary, you can specify different dates.
