Contents of the Add Billing Terms Dialog Box

Use these fields and options to manually define billing terms or copy from projects, phases, or tasks.

Field Description
Create Billing Terms Select one of the following options:
  • Manually: Select this option to manually define billing terms for the project.
  • From Project: Select this option to copy the billing terms information from a project, phase, or task with defined billing terms. This displays the From Project, From Phase, and From Task fields.
From Project Select the project whose billing terms you want to copy. Only projects with billing terms are available from the lookup.
From Phase Select the phase whose billing terms you want to copy. Only phases with billing terms are available from the lookup.

To copy phase terms to a project, phase, or task, you must first select a project in the Project field. If the phase is subdivided into tasks that also have terms defined, you must select the task, and Vantagepoint automatically populates the Phase field with the appropriate phase and the Task field with the selected task.

From Task Select the task whose billing terms you want to copy. Only tasks with billing terms are available from the lookup.

To copy task terms to a project, phase, or task, you must first select a project in the Project field. The Phase field automatically populates with the appropriate phase when you select the task.

Add Click this button to add the billing terms information to the current project.

If you select Manually in the Create Billing Terms field, Vantagepoint opens all the fields in the Billing Terms form for editing.

If you select From Project in the Create Billing Terms field, Vantagepoint opens and prefills the Billing Terms form with billing terms information from the project, phase, or task you selected to copy from.

Cancel Click this button to cancel your changes and close the dialog box.
