Access Rights to Menu Items

When you set up security roles, you can assign access rights to specific Vantagepoint menu items.

For each security role, you specify menu access on the Overview tab of Settings > Security > Roles.

In most cases, you will select specific menu items and/or submenu items for each security role.

Select the Full access to all menu items option to assign full access rights to all menu items listed. If you customize your Navigation pane, the list reflects those changes. If menu items are added to Vantagepoint in the future, the role will automatically have access to the new menu items.

When you grant access to a hub, the role can initially access only the Summary pane and Overview tab for the hub. To grant access to additional tabs within those hubs, use the Access Rights tab Settings > Security > Roles.

When you make a tab available to a role, all fields on that tab become available. You can choose to hide fields on the tab for the role using the Field Security field in Screen Designer (Settings > General > Screen Designer).
