Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Organizations (Key Conversions)

Use the Organizations Key Conversion utility to change an organization code or to close out (consolidate) organization code data into a single organization code.

You can consolidate data between two existing organization codes. Alternatively, you can set up a new organization code in which to close out organization codes that are no longer in use.

If the organization has multiple levels, this key conversion only allows you to change the whole organization at one time.

If you use multiple companies, you cannot change the first level of the organization.

Prerequisite: Back up your Vantagepoint database.

Combine Organizations

Use the Combine Records tab of the Organizations form to merge existing organization records. The organization defined under Existing Organization Number will merge into the organization defined under New Organization Number. Combining will merge the hub records and all associated details and transactions.

Change the Number of an Organization

Use the Change Number tab of the Organizations form utility to change organization number on an existing organization record. The organization number will be updated as well as any associated details and transactions.
