Collaboration Integration

If the Collaboration integration with Vantagepoint is enabled, project teams can collaborate using Collaboration conversations from within the Projects hub in Vantagepoint.

Enabling the Collaboration integration in Utilities > Integrations > Collaboration enables the Collaboration tab on the Projects form of the Projects hub. On that tab, you can start conversations with other team members for a project you are associated with. Users must be included on the Team tab for a project in order to participate in Collaboration conversations related to that project.

When the first conversation is started for a project, a Collaboration space is created automatically for that project. In addition to collaborating on a project in conversations from within Vantagepoint, users can also access the space for the project in Collaboration itself. There, they can assign tasks, schedule events, and share files, in addition to participating in conversations.

The Collaboration tab in Vantagepoint enables users to do the following:
  • Specify favorite conversations
  • Search for a conversation
  • Select a filter for viewing conversations (All, Highlights, Favorites, or Muted)
  • View multiple conversations per record
  • Use advanced formatting for conversations (text formatting options, bold, bullets, indent, and so on)
  • Mark a conversation as unread
  • Mute a conversation
  • Delete a conversation (if you are the creator)
  • Refer to the Notification icon to indicate unread comments

Collaboration participants can also:

  • Add participants to the conversation
  • Use the "@" sign to mention or tag participants in the conversation for action items
  • Mark a comment as Urgent
  • Agree with a participant's comment
  • Specify a favorite comment
  • Edit a comment
  • Delete a comment
  • View and edit conversation notes
  • Use quick reply for the conversation

When a project is deleted from Vantagepoint and a Collaboration space has been created for the project, the space remains in Collaboration. Terminated employees automatically lose access to any conversations and Collaboration spaces in which they were previously included.
