Use the Labor tab on the Budget form in the Projects hub to enter labor budget information for a project.
To enter a labor budget for a project:

In the Navigation pane, select

On the Budget form, select the project for which you want to enter budget information.

In the Project Structure dialog box, select a work breakdown structure (WBS) element for which you want to enter budget information. (If the Project Structure dialog box does not display automatically, click
to display it.)
You can only enter budget information for WBS elements at the lowest levels of the WBS.

If
Vantagepoint is set up to allow entry of both cost (or burdened cost) and billing budgets, select the type of budget you want to enter in
Show in the upper-right corner of the form.

In the
Start Date and
End Date fields on the Labor tab, enter the start and end dates for work on the WBS element.
You can also enter these dates on the Expenses + Consultants tab.

Click
+ Add Labor below the Labor Budget grid to add a blank row.
If the grid does not contain all of the columns that you need, click
in the upper-right corner of the grid and select other columns.

In
Labor Code, select a labor code for which you want to enter a budget for the WBS element.

Enter budgeted hours and/or amount for the labor code:
- You can enter hours only or an amount only.
- You can enter hours and a rate, and
Vantagepoint calculates the budget amount.
- You can enter hours and an amount, and
Vantagepoint calculates the rate.

As appropriate, use the other fields in the row to enter additional information for the labor code budget.

To enter budget information for other labor codes for the same WBS element, repeat steps 6 - 9.

To enter labor budgets for other WBS elements, repeat steps 3 - 10.
