Sort column data in ascending or descending order for your table or chart dashparts. For charts dashparts, only one column can be sorted.
Sort is only available on a chart when you are grouping by a column. You can use column sorting to create a dashpart that displays top records or bottom records by configuring the sort option in ascending or descending order.
These steps are not applicable when you are using
Vantagepoint on a tablet or smart phone.
To sort column data in a dashpart:

In the Navigation pane, select

On the Dashpart Designer form, create or edit a dashpart.
The
Edit Mode toggle option is not enabled when you are using a tablet or smart phone to access
Vantagepoint.

Click
Sort Options.

On the Sort Options dialog box, click the columns to be sorted:

Select Columns.

On the Select Columns dialog box, choose the columns that you need to sort.

Click
Apply to apply your choices and close the dialog box.

On the Sort Options dialog box, in the
Sort In field, select the sort option for the columns:
- Ascending displays the bottom records first.
- Descending displays the top records first.
This is a convenient way to create a dashpart that displays top records or bottom records, based on the data set of the grouped column being sorted.
