Copy a Proposal

You can copy an existing proposal to use as the basis for a new proposal. This is useful when you have multiple proposals with similar content.

This feature is available if your enterprise uses CRM Plus.

To copy a proposal:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Proposals > Custom Proposals.
  2. On the Custom Proposals form, do one of the following:
    • At the end of a proposal row in the grid, click Options > Copy.
    • Open an existing proposal and then select Other Actions > Copy Proposal on the Actions bar.
  3. On the Copy Proposal dialog box, enter the new proposal's properties, including the name, number, project, and due date.
  4. Click Show Additional Properties to specify any additional proposal properties.
Some information is automatically copied to the new proposal, such as the client, organization, proposal manager, source, type, and proposal elements (other than those on the Clipboard).

Records are copied exactly as they are in the original proposal. Records that are drafts are copied as drafts in the new proposal. Records that have been finalized are also finalized in the new proposal. Finalized records have no direct connection to the hub, so changes made to these records in the hub since the time that they were finalized are not reflected in the proposal.

  5. Click Continue to open the Proposal Builder and modify the proposal.
