Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Change Period Utility

Use the Change Period utility to select the accounting period in which you want to work (your active period) in the Vantagepoint desktop application.

You can also specify whether or not you want the latest open period to be the default active period that opens when you log in to Vantagepoint.

If you switch to a closed or prior period, your ability to process data in that period will be restricted if Allow Processing in Closed Periods or Allow Processing in Prior Periods is not selected for your security role.

If you change to a prior period, Prior period active displays on the Vantagepoint main toolbar as a visual indicator that the active period is a prior period.
