  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Change Company Utility

If Vantagepoint is set up to use multiple companies and your security role gives you access to more than one company, the Change Company utility in the desktop application enables you to change the company on which you are currently working, without logging out of Vantagepoint.

All employees access the same Vantagepoint database, no matter which company each employee has as a "home" company. You do not need to log on and off different databases to perform company-specific tasks. Instead, you use the Change Company utility to switch to a different company.

You can also specify that Vantagepoint should default to your home company when you log in.

If you switch to another company and your currently active period is closed for that company, your ability to process data in that period will be restricted if Allow Processing in Closed Periods is not selected for your security role.
