Checklist: Setting Up Pay Rate Tables
If you are new to Payroll, you may find it helpful to review the setup checklist for pay rate tables.

1 | Enable the feature for your enterprise by setting the Enable Pay Rate Tables option to Yes . | |
2 | If you want the ability to set multiple overtime rates using effective dates, set the Overtime Percent in Cost/Pay Rate Tables option to Yes. | |
3 | Specify full security access to pay rate tables, for each role you want to grant the right to create and modify pay rate tables. To do this, set the Labor Cost Rates/Amounts field to Full Access on the Accounting tab of Roles Security Settings for each role. | Accounting tab of |
4 | Add pay rate tables. | |
5 | Specify a Pay Rate Method and Rate Table for each project that you want to associate with a Pay Rate table.
If your project has multiple work breakdown structure levels (phases, and or phases and tasks), you can override the project level by selecting a Pay Rate Method and Rate Table from the lower level. Vantagepoint uses the table set at the lowest level. |

Rate Table for each employee that you want to associate with a Pay Rate table.
In the hierarchy that Vantagepoint uses to determine an employees pay rate, a rate table selected at the project level (from the Projects hub) will override a rate set for an employee in the Employees hub. |
