Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Welcome Pane in Microsoft Outlook

Enter information in this pane to connect Microsoft Outlook to your Vantagepoint database.

After you enter the information in this pane and successfully connect to your Vantagepoint, the connection information is saved and used automatically every time that you open Outlook.

Field Description
Deltek URL Enter your Vantagepoint browser URL. Example: https://Yourcompanyname.deltekfirst.com/Yourcompanyname.

Make sure that the URL does not end in "client" or "app."

Username Enter the user ID that you use to log in to Vantagepoint.
Password Enter the password that you use to log in to Vantagepoint.
Database This field displays if you have more than one Vantagepoint database for the URL that you entered in the Deltek URL field. Select the Vantagepoint database that you want Outlook to connect to.
Language Select the language in which you want Vantagepoint text to display.
Windows Authentication If you want the Outlook add-in to use your Microsoft Windows username and password instead of your Vantagepoint credentials for logging in, select this check box.

This check box displays only if your user record in Settings > Security > Users has the Windows Authentication check box selected.

Deltek Application Version The application version displays below the Windows Authentication check box.
