Set up a Header and Footer for a Report

Use the Header and Footer section on the Layout tab to override heading dates, define heading background colors, and format text using the text editing options.

To format the header and footer for a report:

  1. Click the Layout tab on the Report form.
  2. Click the Override Heading Period Dates check box on the Header and Footer section to specify different period dates for the report heading.

    Vantagepoint enables the period start and end date fields.

  3. Enter the dates that you want in the start and end date fields for the period.
    By default, Vantagepoint uses the starting and ending dates for the accounting period that you selected when you logged in.
  4. If you want to select a color for column headings on a report, click in the Heading Background Color field.
    Vantagepoint displays the color palette tool.
  5. To select a color value on the color tool, drag your cursor over the color palette and click on a color value to select it.
  6. In the text message field, enter the text for the report footer. Do not remove the [version] - [options] portion of the footer. You can use the text editing toolbar to format the text message.
