  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Import Data into Vantagepoint from the Integrations Manager Utility

From the Integrations Manager utility, you can access the Desktop Import utility to import data into Vantagepoint from a file.

When you import data from the Integrations Manager utility, the Status and Last Run fields on the Integrations Tasks List form are not updated.

Prerequisites:

To import data into Vantagepoint from the Integrations Manager utility:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Utilities > Integrations > Integrations Manager.
  2. In the integration grid on the Integrations Manager form, hover over the integration that contains the import task that you want to run, click at the end of the row, and then select Edit.
  3. In the tasks grid on the Integrations Task List form, select the import task, click at the end of the row, and then select Run.
  4. On the dialog box that asks if you want to open the application from vantagepoint.deltek.com, click Open, and log in to the Vantagepoint desktop application.
    This opens the Desktop Import utility in the Vantagepoint desktop application.
  5. On the Main tab of the Import Utility form, select the desired table description and input table name to open the desired import definition.
  6. Review the settings on the tabs to confirm they are what you want.
  7. Click Validate.
  8. On the Import from a Text File dialog box, browse to the text file, ensure that the information is correct, and click OK.
    Vantagepoint verifies the source data and inserts both the valid and error records into the temporary table that you specified on the Main tab.
  9. Correct any records as needed, and click Validate to re-validate them.
  10. If no errors are found, complete one of these actions:
    • If you are importing entries that do not require batch names, on the Import Utility dialog box, click the Import button.
    • If you are importing data entry transactions that require a batch name, on the "Please specify the batch name to be used for this data entry import" dialog box, enter batch information, and then click the Import button.
    Vantagepoint verifies the source data and inserts the records into the final destination in Vantagepoint.
