Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Backup Database Utility

Use this utility to make a full backup of the Vantagepoint database and FileStream database.

This utility is available in the Vantagepoint on-premise product. It does not apply for the cloud product.

You may want to back up your database:

  • Before you import data.
  • Before you make major changes to the database.

The only requirement is that the SQL Server backup device must already exist. Ask your SQL Server database administrator to create this device. The SQL Server backup device can hold one or more database backups.

This utility is not a substitute for a comprehensive backup plan. See the "Database Maintenance Activities" section of the Deltek Vantagepoint Technical Installation Guide for the on-premise product for more information about backup plans.
