Overhead Allocation Report
The Overhead Allocation report shows the overhead allocated to all regular projects as of the last overhead allocation. The report includes overhead allocated either through proration or assignment.
Typically, you run the Overhead Allocation report for the most recent active period only. To run the report for another period, click the Period Ending option on the toolbar and then select an active period on the Period Selection dialog box.
The YTD Overhead column on this report should match the total indirect expenses on your Income Statement.
Organizations and Overhead Allocation
If you set theScope option to Organization on the Overhead Allocations Settings form in , Vantagepoint sorts the report by organization, and prints the following information for each organization:
- Rate, method, and basis used to allocate overhead
- Organization overhead
- Overhead variance (if you are using the assignment method)
If you set the Scope option to Organization on the Overhead Allocation Settings form and you also indicated that some organizations will distribute to operating organizations in Individual Organization Settings, Vantagepoint sorts the report by organization and the report contains these two sections:

Scope Option in Settings
This report is not available if you set the Scope option to None on the Overhead Allocation Settings form in .
Multiple Companies
If you use multiple companies, this report only shows overhead allocation data for the active company.

You can select defaults for many of the fields via My Preferences to apply specific options that you reuse when running reports. - Columns for the Overhead Allocation Report
The Overhead Allocation report contains a combination of standard columns and fields. You cannot select columns for this report.
