Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Upcoming Milestones System Dashpart

Use the Upcoming Milestones system dashpart to review upcoming milestones for your projects on a graphically represented timeline.

Field Description
Search Filter

On the drop-down list below the dashpart title, click All to display a timeline of milestones for all projects (both active and inactive), click Active to display a timeline of milestones only for projects with the Active status, or click My Active to display a timeline of milestones only for those projects with which you are associated as a team member.

To apply a custom search rather than one of the standard ones described above, click one of the saved custom searches listed below the standard ones, or click Custom to create a new custom search. In the Custom Search dialog box, you can select search values for selected fields in the records.

Upcoming Milestones Timeline

Based on your selected projects, the Upcoming Milestones timeline displays a graphical schedule of the history of milestone activities associated with these projects.

You can display up to 7 upcoming milestones on the timeline, beginning with today's milestone or your most current milestone. Each milestone is represented as a point on the timeline, with the date and milestone name. Click the milestone point for more information.

When multiple milestones occur on the same date, they are grouped in one milestone point and are indicated on the timeline with the date and a grouping label, which is based on the number of milestone items for the date.

Use the paging arrows at either end of the milestone chart to move to previous or next milestones across the timeline.

Milestone Info Bubble

On the timeline, click a milestone point to display an info bubble that includes high-level information about the milestone: name of milestone, project long name, date, milestone notes, and the More link.

Click the More link to display the project record on the Projects form on a new web browser tab, where you can view the project information in greater depth.

If a milestone point contains multiple milestones, the info bubble displays the milestone information of all milestones.
