Hit Rate Calculation Options

Field Description
Stage to Include in Hit Rate Calculation Only the projects in the stages that you select in this field are included in the hit rate calculation and the detail for the report. For example, if you select Won and Lost, only won and lost projects are included in the hit rate calculation and in the detail. Select one or more stages on the lookup. You specify the current stage for a project in the Projects hub.
Calculate % of Project With Stages

Select the stages to include for a grouping level's hit rate calculation. For example, if you select to group by organization and Won in this field, then the report includes the percentage of projects won for each organization.

Calculate % By

Select the type of value for calculating hit rates for a group. The calculation for all value types are multiplied by 100 to display the hit rate as a percentage. The options are:

  • Project Count: The hit rate calculation is based on the number of projects for a group that falls between the dates that you entered in Date Range. From that group of projects, the hit rate is calculated as: (Number of projects for a group that are assigned the stage that you entered in Calculate % of Project With Stages / Number of projects that are assigned the stages that you entered in Stages to Include in Hit Rate Calculation) x 100.
  • Weighted Fee: The hit rate calculation is based on the weighted fee for projects for a group that falls between the dates that you entered in Date Range. From that group of projects, the hit rate is calculated as: (Weighted fee for projects for a group, which are assigned the stage that you entered in Calculate % of Project With Stages / Weighted fee for projects that are assigned the stages that you entered in Stages to Include in Hit Rate Calculation) x 100.
  • Estimated Fee: The hit rate calculation is based on the estimated revenue for projects for a group that falls between the dates that you entered in Date Range. From that group of projects, the hit rate is calculated as: (Estimated fee for projects for a group that are assigned the stage that you entered in Calculate % of Project With Stages / Estimated fee for projects that are assigned the stages that you entered in Hit Rate Calculation Options) x 100.
Date Field Used in Calculation

Select the date (such as Won/Lost Date or Estimated Start) to affect the calculated value for hit rates on the report. The hit rate calculation includes only the projects that have dates that fall within the time frame that you enter in the Date Range field.

Date Range Use this field to select the reporting period for calculating the value for hit rates. For example, if you select Won/Lost Date in Date Field Used in Calculation and Last14 Days in this field, the report uses only the projects with a won/lost start date that falls within the last two weeks to calculate the hit rate.
