Columns for the Sales List Report

The Sales List report contains a standard set of columns, based on the selections that you make on the Options tab. You cannot choose individual columns for this report.

Contents

Your setting in the Client Detail field on the General tab determines whether you see all the detail for each transaction or only summary data.

Field Description
Client Use the lookup to select one or more clients to include in the report.
Comments For a retainage invoice, this column displays Retainage Billing. For other transactions, it is blank.
Date This column displays the date of the transaction.
Fiscal Period This column displays the accounting period in which the transaction was posted.
Invoice This column displays the invoice number associated with the transaction.

Because a retainage invoice has the same invoice number as the original invoice from which it was withheld, Vantagepoint displays Retainage Billing in the Comments column to distinguish it from the original invoice.

Phase This column displays the phase number associated with the transaction.
Post Seq This column displays the posting sequence number for the transaction. Vantagepoint assigns the sequence numbers during the posting process. Vantagepoint assigns 1 to the first group of transactions posted during an accounting period, 2 to the second group, and so on.

You can see a numbered list of all of the postings for the current accounting period in Transaction Center > Posting Review.

Project This column displays the project number associated with the transaction. If a transaction is not related to a project, no project number displays. No project number displays for balance sheet account transactions, except for accounts receivable transactions.
Task This column displays the task number associated with the transaction.
Tax Amounts This column displays the amount of tax for the transaction, tax code, or client.

If you use multiple currencies, and if tax auditing is enabled for the company, you can opt to display the tax basis, tax amounts, and tax received amounts on the report. You specify the type of currency (Transaction Currency, Functional Currency, or Tax Currency) on the Options tab of the report.

Tax Basis This column displays the taxable amount for the transaction, tax code, or client. If compound taxes are involved, this amount can include both invoice net amounts and other tax amounts.

For invoices from which retainage is withheld, the tax basis includes the retainage if the Tax Method option is set to Tax when Withheld under Sections to Apply Retainage on the More Calculations tab of the Billing Terms form (Hubs > Projects > Billing Terms). The tax basis does not include retainage if the option is set to Tax when Invoiced. In that case, the tax on the retainage amount is billed on the retainage invoice when the retainage is due.

Tax Country/Registration This column displays the tax country code or tax registration number for the client.
