Select a checkbox next to a row on the main screen and select the Inactivate button to launch the Inactivate Dependents/Beneficiaries Benefits screen, which shows all of the benefits that are affected by dependent/beneficiary inactivation. You must select the Confirm button on this screen to save the inactivation to the system.
The number of tables that display in the Inactivation screen is determined by system data tied to the selected dependent/beneficiary being inactivated. In the Life Events/New Hires mode, these tables may display: Current Benefit Coverage, Life Event Elections, Current Beneficiary Assignments, and Life Event Beneficiary Assignments.
This field displays the name of the dependent/beneficiary.
This field displays the date of inactivation. For a life event, the date will be the day before the date of the life event.
Select the Confirm button to save the inactivation to the database and return to the Dependents/Beneficiaries screen.
Select this button to return to the Dependents/Beneficiaries screen without saving any changes.
