Use this screen to configure, view, and maintain imports. Please review the "Importing and Exporting Data" chapter of the Deltek Time & Expense with ESS Technical Guide for an overview of this important feature. In this screen, you can perform the following functions:
Change import settings
Check the status of an import
Start/stop an import
View/print error log
Delete import transaction in error
Purge staging tables
Execute import on demand
Edit and retry an import transaction in error
Use this screen any time you want to check on the status of an existing import. You can also use it to start either a scheduled import or an on-demand import.
When you upgrade to a new version of Deltek Time\Expense\Self Service, use the Log tab in this screen to delete any outstanding import errors from the previous version of the software. Errors retained from an older version can cause problems in this screen. If you do not delete them, you may receive the following message: "The import error message is not compatible with the application version. Please delete import error messages created with a prior version of the software."
The tabs available in this screen are General and Log.
Use the General tab to provide information for the import such as source, location, and schedule data. Use the Log tab to view information on the import transaction errors. You can also edit, retry, delete, and print import transactions in this tab.
