  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Effective Dating Functionality

A Core HR license enables Core HR Administrators to access Effective Dating functionality.

If your company has licensed the Core HR module, certain fields in the Total Talent Profile are enabled with Effective Dating. Employees in the Core HR Administrator group, or those granted access to edit certain sections of the Total Talent Profile via Self-Service administration, have access to Effective Dating functionality.

When a Core HR Administrator edits an Effective-Dating-enabled field, Talent stores historical information, future dated changes and an audit trail of all those changes, which includes who made the change, when it was made, the reason for the change, and when it will be effective.

Core HR Administrators can view History by clicking the History icon next to a field or by viewing changes on the History tab. Results shown on the tab can be filtered to show all, show all Effective Dated fields (Employment Information), or show only results for a selected Attribute, such as Pay Rate.

Data is Saved Indefinitely:

  • Historical, and/or future dated records are never removed from Deltek Talent Management, even upon employee termination.
  • Saving data ensures rehires will have a full employment history, across all employment histories.
