Summary Tab
The Summary tab displays all of the competencies and goals in the appraisal, and all ratings to date.
Important Information:
- View all Ratings: Managers and administrators can see all of the ratings from all appraisers. Depending on your organization’s settings, employees may be able to see all ratings, too.

- If Manually Release to Score to Employee is enabled in Workflow Step 6 Configuration , the manager will manually trigger the release of the score for the employee to view under the Actions gear in the Overall Rating section.
- If
Manually Release to Score to Employee is not enabled, the score will be released in the Review phase based on the signature requirement in Step 6.
- No Signatures: The employee sees scores immediately on the Summary tab when appraisal is moved into Review phase.
- Manager Signs First: The employee sees the scores in the Review phase on Summary tab once the manager signs the appraisal.
- Employee Signs First: The employee sees scores on Summary tab immediately when appraisal is moved into Review phase, prior to either employee or manager signing the appraisal.
- The system setting “Summary Tab All Comments" ( ) determines which groups can view the appraisal score comments.
- For employees to see appraiser scores per metric, the Employee View Other Appraiser Line Scores feature ( ) must be enabled for the Employee Group.

- Overall Rating section: The bottom section of the Summary tab displays the Overall Rating, which is calculated based on the scores entered by the raters for all competencies, skills and goals in the appraisal.
- Overriding a Score:After a score is finalized, if a Manager or HR Business Partner has permission to override an appraisal score, they can do so by selecting the Override This Score option from the Score Override section Actions menu, on the Appraisal Summary tab. Administrators can enable or disable the ability to override scores on the Features screen ( ) and/or ( ).
Action
The button on the Summary tab performs the following function.
Action | Description |

Print Appraisal | Click this button to open the Print Appraisal screen, which lets you select the sections that you want to include in the printed appraisal. |
View Category Scale | Each section on the tab that corresponds to a category with score-able metrics, for example Goals or Competencies, contains a View Category Scale link in the upper right. Click the link to see details about the scale applied to this category. Administrators have the option to apply different scales to each score-able category in an appraisal, although in some cases the Overall Scale and category scales will be the same. |
