To deactivate/activate statements:
You can deactivate a statement as long as that statement is not associated with a recruiting workflow. When you deactivate a statement, it no longer displays in the list of options when selecting Terms of Use statements.
If you have deactivated a first tier or “parent” statement that has secondary or “child” statements, the second tier statements are automatically deactivated. If you have deactivated a second tier statement, the first tier statement is not automatically deactivated.
