Selecting Product Listings for a Project

This portion of the online help details how you can use the product selection features to research and select products for your A/E firm's project specifications.

You can browse, search, research, and add product listings to your project specifications. To begin product selection, you must open a project in the new workspace or classic workspace, and access the Product Listings window at the project level. With this mode, you can view product listings that are appropriate and applicable to your active project as well as your selected category, assembly, family, section, or product type.

Permissions

To select products for a project, you must be the project's creator or a member of the project team. In addition, the following permissions apply.

Automated changes do not apply to contributor actions.

Note: For Contributor users, product selection is limited. Contributors can select manufacturer cards, but the Add to Project () and Add as BOD () options are unavailable for product listing cards.
