Contents of the Best Practices Dialog Box

Use the contents of this dialog box to set a project content item as a best practice.

General Options

For setting a best practice, the following options are available:

Option	Description
Set as Best Practice	Select this option to set the project content item as a project parameter best practice, which applies only to projects that share the selected project parameters. When you select this option, Specpoint automatically selects all project parameter options and clears the selection for the Set as Global Best Practice option.
Project Parameter Options	Select a project parameter option to set the project content item as a project parameter best practice and include the parameter in the combination of project parameters to which the best practice applies. The following project parameter options are available: Project Group City State Building Type Contact Type Construction Type Sustainability Owner Geographic Region Seismic Zone Wind Zone Each option displays the actual parameter value of the active project. When you select a project parameter option, Specpoint automatically selects the Set as Best Practice option and clears the selection for the Set as Global Best Practice option. Clear your selection from an option to remove its parameter from being a requirement of the best practice.
Set as Global Best Practice	Select this option to set the project content item as a global best practice, which applies to all projects in your A/E firm. When you select this option, Specpoint automatically clears the selection for the Set as Best Practice option.
