Create a New Premium Listing (MasterSpec Product Type)

As a Deltek administrator, create a new premium listing for a BPM to begin adding product details and start the product submission process. Use this procedure to create listings under MasterSpec product types.

Creating a product listing under a MasterSpec product type enables you to include the default MasterSpec properties and options based on the given product type.

To create a new premium listing:

  1. On the navigation menu, click Products.
  2. On the Product Listings page, click + Add Product.
  3. In the Add Product Listing window, in the Choose a Listing Type field, select Premium.
  4. In the Company field, select a BPM for which to create the listing.
    To search for a BPM, enter the name of the BPM and select an option from the autocomplete results.
  5. In the Family field, select a family for which the product is applicable.
    To search for a family, enter the name or number of the family and select an option from the autocomplete results.
  6. Select Existing Product Type to create a product under a product type in the MasterSpec library.
  7. In the Product Type field, select a product type for which the product is applicable.
    To search for a product type, enter the name or number of the product type and select an option from the autocomplete results. MasterSpec product types do not have prefixes, such as (+).
  8. In the Product Model Number field, enter a unique model number or code for the product.
  9. In the Product Name field, enter a unique name for the product.
  10. Click Add Product.
    The Manage Listing page displays with the details of the new premium listing and with the following updated attributes:
    • State is Premium Review.
    • Status is Inactive.

    The premium listing is now available for BPM submission and the BPM can now view and update the listing.

You can now update the product listing while it is under review, or you can use it as a base to add a product listing that has the same company, listing type, family

, and product type.
