  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

A/E Professional Firm

In Specpoint, an architectural and engineering professional firm, or simply an A/E firm, is an organization that uses the platform to create, update, and deliver project specifications.

A/E users use the platform's design automation to assist their A/E firm's design process and create project specifications. They also use Specpoint's product selection features to browse and specify product listings, which BPMs within Specpoint offer, in their A/E firm's project specifications. Typically, A/E firm's specify product listings within their projects' family elements (referred to as "sections" in MasterSpec/MasterWorks, SpecBuilder Cloud, and e-SPECS) and product type elements.

Specpoint makes project data available to enable you to research A/E firms' past and ongoing projects based on their location, building information, specified manufacturers and products, etc.
