Delete a Group

Use this procedure to delete a group.

Note: You cannot delete the SYSADMIN and WORLD groups.

To delete a group:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select SECURITY > Groups.
    The Groups Detail View displays by default.
  2. On the Groups Detail View, click Other Actions, and select Delete from the context menu.
    Note: Make sure that the displayed information pertains to the group that you want to delete by viewing the group information on Groups Detail View. If it is not, use the Find Group field on the Groups Detail View or refine the list that displays in the Groups grid on the Groups List View by clicking the filter icon.

    Alternatively, you can delete groups from the Groups List View, which you can access by clicking at the upper portion of the form. You can do this by taking one of the following actions:

    • In the Groups grid, select the group you want to delete, and click and select Delete from the context menu.
    • In the Groups grid, select the group(s) you want to delete, click Other Actions, and select Delete from the context menu.
  3. In the Delete Group dialog box, click Delete.
    If the selected group(s) are assigned to another project, another dialog box displays prompting you to confirm the deletion. Click Delete.
  4. If you are deleting groups from the Groups Detail View, click Save .
