Unlock a User Account

Use this procedure to unlock user account..

Typically, a user account is locked after too many incorrect password attempts. Each failed attempt increments the counter, and when it reaches the limit (Maximum Retries Before Lockout), PPM Administrator locks the account. If a login attempt is successful, the counter resets.

To unlock the user account:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select SECURITY > Users.
By default, the Users Detail View displays with the GENERAL tab selected.
  2. Find and select the user whose account you want to unlock.
You can use the Find User field at the top of Users Detail View or click at the upper-right corner of the grid on Users List View,
  3. On Users Detail View, select the AUTHENTICATION tab.
  4. On the AUTHENTICATION tab, click the Unlock link beside the Account Locked label.
The Account Locked label and Unlock link only display for locked user accounts.
  5. When you are done, click Save.
