Enable Security

Use this procedure to enable security.

To enable security:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select SECURITY > System.
    The System form displays with the AUTHENTICATION tab selected by default.
  2. On the Authentication tab, in the Authentication Mode drop-down list, select one of the following options:
    • Basic
    • Windows
    • Mixed
  3. If you selected Windows as Authentication Mode, select a supported authentication type in the Authentication Type drop-down list.
  4. If the Windows or Mixed authentication mode is enabled and a Windows group is specified, select the group to which the user belongs in the Group Membership drop-down list.
