Delete a Role

Use this procedure to delete a role.

To delete a role:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select SECURITY > Roles.
    By default, Roles Detail View displays. To switch between views, click (Roles List View) or (Roles Detail View) at the upper portion of the form.
  2. Delete a user by taking one of the following actions:
    • On Roles List View, select the role, click and select Delete on the context menu. This action deletes the selected role.
    • On Roles List View, select one or more roles, click Other Actions, and select Delete on the context menu. This action deletes all selected roles.
    • On Roles Detail View, click Other Actions, and select Delete on the context menu.
    Note: To find roles easily, you can either use the Find Role field on Roles Detail View or click the filter icon in the grid on Roles List View (since the Find Role field is disabled in this view).
  3. In the confirmation dialog box, click Delete.
