Import Source Report

After a batch of import progress data is completed, you can manually generate the Import Source report in CSV format, detailing the batch data. The Import Source report includes information such as Project Name, Import Time, whether the entire import passed or failed, and other related details.

Filter Group Box

Use this group box to filter the data displayed in the Import Source report by specifying a date range or batch ID.

Field and Button

Description

Start Date

Use this field to filter import reports that occur on or after the import's start date, based on the date the import progress is submitted. By default, this field displays the date five days earlier than today's date.

End Date

Use this field to filter import reports that occur on or before the import's end date, based on the date the import progress is submitted. By default, this field displays today's date.

Batch ID

Use this field to filter the import reports by batch ID or a substring of the batch ID entered.

Export Data

Click this button to generate the Import Source report in CSV format, which is saved in the ImportSourceReports subfolder of the Integration Process Logs folder.

You can view and edit the log file path on the File Folders tab of the System Settings form.

  • If the export is successful, PM Compass displays the following message: "Your export file with [X] rows of data has been successfully generated.  You can access it at: [\\[filepath]."

  • If no records are found, PM Compass displays the following message: "No file has been created because no records were found that match your filter criteria. Please adjust your filters and try again."

  • If the Integration Process Logs field on the File Folders tab of the System Settings form is not configured, PM Compass displays the following message: "Your export path was not found. Please contact your system administrator."

  • If the service account that IIS is using does not have write access to the folder, PM Compass displays the following message: "An error has occurred while exporting data. Access to the path <folder name> is denied."

  • If you remove the shared folder, PM Compass displays the following message: "An error has occurred while exporting data. Error creating directory: Could not find a part of the path <folder name>."

Import Source Columns

This table lists the columns in the Import Source report.

Batch ID

This column displays the batch ID associated with the import instance.

Project ID

This column displays the name of the project used in the import.

Import Status

This column displays the status of the import.

User

This column displays the first and last names of the user who performed the import.

Import Time

This column displays the date and time the import progress is submitted.

Server Name

This column displays the PM Compass Process server that processed the imported entry.

Process Start Time

This column displays the time the PM Compass Process server started processing the imported entry.

Process End Time

This column displays the time the PM Compass Process server completed processing the imported entry.

Source System ID

This column displays the source of the API process.

QBD Number

This column displays the value associated with an import progress entry.

CA1

This column displays the Control Account Field 1 value.

CA2

This column displays the Control Account Field 2 value.

CA3

This column displays the Control Account Field 3 value.

WP

This column displays the Work Package value.

Schedule Project Name

This column displays the schedule project.

Activity ID

This column displays the ID of the project activity.

Actual Start Date

This column displays the Actual Start Date for the activity.

Actual Finish Date

This column displays the Actual Finish Date for the activity.

Forecast Start Date

This column displays the Forecast Start Date for the work package.

Forecast Finish Date

This column displays the Forecast Finish Date for the work package.

Percent Complete

This column displays the Percent Complete value for the work package.

Units Complete

This column displays the Unit Complete value for the work package.

Expected Finish Date

This column displays the Expected Finish Date for the activity.

Not Earlier Than

This column displays the Not Earlier Than Date for the activity.

Progress Type

This column displays the Progress Type value.

Progress Value

This column displays the Progress Value.

Notes

This column displays the notes associated with the cost or schedule entry.

 

Milestone/Step Notes

 

This column displays the notes associated with the milestone or step.

 

Processed

 

This column indicates whether an imported entry has completed processing, displaying either Y or N.

Schedule Resource

This column displays the Schedule Resource value.

Estimated Remaining

This column displays the Schedule Estimated Remaining value.

Schedule Percent Complete

This column displays the Schedule Percent Complete value.

Step ID

This column displays the Step ID for the activity.

Step Percent Complete

This column displays the Step Percent Complete value.

Step Completed

This column indicates whether an imported entry has completed the step, displaying either Y or N.

Cost Resource

This column displays the Cost Resource value.

Cost Percent Complete

This column displays the Cost Percent Complete value.

Milestone ID

This column displays the Milestone ID.

Milestone Actual Finish

This column displays the Milestone Actual Finish date.

Milestone Forecast Finish

This column displays the Milestone Forecast Finish date.

Milestone Percent Complete

This column displays the Milestone Percent Complete value.

Batch Error

This column displays the failure message encountered by the batch during the import.
