Microsoft Teams Integration
The integration between Deltek PIM and Microsoft Teams enables users to seamlessly share PIM documents directly within Microsoft Teams channels, streamlining workflows and fostering efficient team collaboration. This integration enables users to post PIM documents to Teams channels, initiating discussions and collecting feedback in a dedicated Teams session.
To set up the integration, PIM administrators must first create a Microsoft Entra App Registration in Entra Active Directory. The app registration details are then configured in PIM to link both systems. Once the connection is established, each PIM user who intends to use the integration must sign in to Teams using PIM's new Teams login feature.
The primary advantage of this integration is its ability to track shared PIM documents within Teams. Users can view direct links to Teams conversations related to a document from the document's interface in PIM. This reduces the need to search across Teams' channels and conversations, aligning with PIM's commitment to providing a 'One Search of Truth' by extending visibility into key discussions.

Users without this function can view or inspect documents shared by other users, depending on their Teams security settings, but they will not be able to create new Teams conversations from PIM.
