Managing Project Milestones
Milestones are events that are used to track specific phases along a project timeline. For each project, you define the event stages of the project within the Classifications section in the General tab of a project. These event stages determine which milestones are applicable to the project and available within the project's Milestones tab.
For each milestone, you must set the planned completion date. Additionally, you can set the duration in days for each milestone, and the priority. A default set of global recipients is assigned to each milestone, and these people are notified when a milestone is set to complete. You can also add additional roles and contacts if you want to notify additional people when a milestone is completed.
