Assign an Employee Role to a Document Pool

You can assign access rights to a document pool for employees linked to a system role. For information, see Principle Providers.

To assign an employee role to a document pool:

  1. In the Admin Zone, click Additional Administration.
  2. Click the Document Pools tab.
  3. Click the document pool that you want to manage access rights for.
    Note: If you select a parent document pool, the same access rights are applied to all child document pools.
  4. From the Principle Provider list, select Employee.
  5. From the Access Rights list, select one of the following access rights to grant to the role:
    Access Right Description
    Read Select this option to allow users to view and download documents from a document pool. Users cannot publish or edit documents to the pool.
    Write Select this option to allow users to publish documents to a document pool. Users cannot view or edit documents.
    Read/Write Select this option to allow users to view, download, publish, and edit documents in a document pool.
  6. Click Add.
  7. On the Add Employee System Role Security Definitions window, select the system roles that you want to assign the selected access right to.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click Apply Security.
