Timesheet Configuration Settings
Configuration settings in Vision and Timesheet determine the features that you can access within the Employee Workspace.
- Timesheet Status Values
The status of the timesheet displays on both the Timesheet and the Period Selection dialog box. This status is important because it reflects the current processing stage of the timesheet and determines what access rights are available. Your system administrator can change the status of a timesheet at any time prior to posting the timesheet. - Timesheet Access Rights
Access to the Navigator Timesheet features and functions requires both an active employee record within Vision and the appropriate access rights assigned to the Employee Workspace and Timesheet tab on the Navigator tab of Configuration > Security > Roles. In addition, there are required options on the Time tab within Vision > Info Center > Employee. - Timesheet Special Categories
Your system administrator can set up special categories for you to use when you enter standard labor charges such as vacation, sick time, or holiday leave. These special categories display in the initial rows of the Timesheet grid each time that you open your timesheet. - Labor Period Status Values
The status of the timesheet's labor period in Vision displays on the Navigator timesheet. The status you select for a labor period determines what timesheet processing options are available to Timesheet users when they enter timesheets for that labor period. This status is dependent on your access rights to the Vision Timesheet application. Your access rights are established on the Roles tab of Vision > Configuration > Security and on the Time tab of Vision > Info Center > Employees.
