The status of the timesheet displays on both the Timesheet and the Period Selection dialog box. This status is important because it reflects the current processing stage of the timesheet and determines what access rights are available. Your system administrator can change the status of a timesheet at any time prior to posting the timesheet.

Each timesheet labor period also has a status value. Labor periods are either
Open
for processing or
Closed for processing.

| Submitted
|
The timesheet has been submitted for processing. You can open the timesheet, but cannot enter or edit data unless you have access rights to resubmit. Submitted timesheets have not yet been approved.

| In Progress
|
The timesheet is in the process of being completed. You can enter and edit timesheet data, and the timesheet has not yet been submitted.
|
| Approved
|
The timesheet has been submitted and approved. You can open the timesheet, but cannot enter or edit data unless you have access rights to resubmit. Approved timesheets are ready to be posted. The
Approved status is only available if the
Require timesheets to be approved before posting option is selected on the Setup tab of Vision Company Timesheet Configuration.

| Missing
|
A timesheet does not exist for this period. You can select the labor period and create a new timesheet. The timesheet status value changes to In Progress.

|
The timesheet has been posted. You can open the timesheet, but cannot enter or edit data, or submit or approve.
