Data Selections Concepts

Each data selection identifies a container, pane, and pane type, and contains one or more field entries that specify which data points should be extracted.

Administrators may create data selections from scratch or copy existing selections for further customization. Data Selections establish a curated dataset for each smart summary type and form an essential part of the underlying data foundation used in the summarization process.
