Create a PEPPOL Mapping Header

Use these steps to create a customized mapping.

To create a customized mapping:

When you are customizing a mapping for a mapping type or invoice type, Maconomy begins by listing all the lines and values for the standard mapping for that mapping type or invoice type you have selected.

  1. Under the Setup menu group, go to E-Invoicing > Peppol Mappings.
  2. Use the search filter and/or the Search field to select a standard mapping type.
  3. Click +New Peppol Mapping Header.
  4. In the Create Peppol Mapping dialog box that displays:
    1. Enter a name for the mapping in the Mapping Name field. This is a required field.
    2. Enter or select the mapping type you want to use as base for your customized mapping in the Mapping Type field. This is a required field.
    3. PUF: If e-invoices are being sent to Pagero, this checkbox should be selected.
    4. Default Mapping: Only one default mapping per type can be set. The default mapping is used when no specific mapping is defined at the customer or company level. When generating the XML file, Maconomy selects the mapping based on the following priority:
      Company customer
      Company
Default setting on the mapping in the Peppol Mappings workspace
    5. Show Unused Lines: Select this checkbox if you want to show unused lines in the Peppol Mapping Line table.
  5. Click Create Peppol Mapping.
  6. On the Peppol Mapping Line table, you can customize how Maconomy fields map to fields in the PEPPOL BIS 3.0 format.

Specifically, you can use the following line fields:

    • Included: Select or clear this checkbox to include or exclude the current PEPPOL field from the output xml.
Note: Some PEPPOL fields are mandatory and cannot be excluded. Additionally, if a required tag is a sub-tag, its parent tags must also be included to ensure proper structure and compliance.
    • Maconomy Relation Name: Use this field to specify which Maconomy database relation should be queried to retrieve the field defined in the next line.
    • Maconomy Field Name: Use this field to specify which Maconomy database field value will be displayed on the current PEPPOL field when the output xml is generated.
    • Text: Use this field to display fixed text for the current PEPPOL field. It can also serve as a default value if the Maconomy Field Name returns a blank result.
    • Standard Calculation: If you want the PEPPOL field to display a value calculated from the values of other fields in the Maconomy database, use this field to make that specification. Select a value from the dropdown. If this field is blank, the tag will always be included.

The options available in this dropdown are:
      • Optional: Element is only included if the field has a value.
      • Employee Name: Gets employee name from Employee Number field.
      • Country Name: Gets country name from Country Type field.
      • Employee Name Optional: Gets employee name from Employee Number field. Element is only included if the field has a value.
Note: For more information about the PEPPOL BIS 3.0 standard, go tohttps://docs.peppol.eu/poacc/billing/3.0/bis/#_document_structure.
