Scheduled Workspace Client Removal

The Workspace Client (WSC) is scheduled for removal from Maconomy Essentials in a release planned for 2026 (Essentials 2026.4). Deltek recommends that customers begin migrating to the Web Client and make the necessary adjustments as early as possible to ensure a smooth transition.

Essentials 2026.4: Deprecating Legacy System Parameters

We are deprecating several legacy system parameters in Maconomy Essentials.

In Essentials 2026.4, these parameters will be marked for removal. They will be completely removed in a future release.

  • EnableTrafficLiveIntegration

Please review any dependencies on these parameters and plan accordingly for their removal.

Dialogs for Removal from Essentials 2026.4 Onwards

In Essentials 2026.4, the following dialogs will be removed because they will no longer be in use:

  • SelectPrinter
  • SetJobDialog

In a release for 2026 (no version number yet), the following dialogs are scheduled to be removed for the same reason stated above:

  • CatalogHeader
  • CatalogLine
  • ItemPropertyLine
  • SeasonalModel

Scheduled Removal of Legacy Excel Export Format

In a release scheduled for 2026, Maconomy will discontinue support for the legacy output format, .xls (Excel 2003), for exports. The Export to Excelaction will instead use the .xlsx format. This change simplifies export functionality and eliminates the need to handle .xls-specific cases during future enhancements.

Please review and update any extensions or integrations that rely on the .xls format. Ensure your tools are compatible with .xlsx before the change takes effect.

Removal of Deprecated Cloud Reports

From Essentials 2026.4, the following cloud reports will be removed from Maconomy, and you can use the corresponding enhanced reports instead:

  • Cloud_Utilization: Covered by the Utilization My Employees report
  • Cloud_Utilization and Average Price, 12 month rolling: Covered by the new charts in the Utilization report
  • Cloud_Utilization Rate: Covered by the Utilization report
  • Cloud_Utilization, by Employee: Covered by the Utilization My Employees, by Employee report
  • Cloud_My Employees Utilization: Covered by the Utilization My Employees report
  • Cloud_My Utilization: Replaced by the My Utilization report.
  • Cloud_Realization: Covered by the Realization My Employees report
  • Cloud_Realization, by Employee: Covered by the Realization My Employees, by Employee report

Additionally, the cloud universes supporting these reports have also been retired.
