Job Reallocations Workspace

Use this workspace to manage job reallocation journals across all statuses, including draft, submitted, approved, and posted.

Journals are collected here after reallocation entries are marked and approved in other workspaces such as Job Reallocation by Entry, Job Reallocation by Job, Batch Job Reallocation, and invoicing workspaces.

This workspace is used for processing existing journals rather than creating new ones. You can submit and approve journals, delete unapproved drafts, or create reversal journals for posted entries. Posting does not occur directly in this workspace; once approved, journals follow the standard posting workflow, which may be automatic depending on your configuration.

All draft journals appear in this workspace, regardless of system parameter configuration. The current status of each journal determines the available actions:

• Draft journals can be reviewed, submitted, approved, or deleted (if not yet approved).
• Submitted journals can be approved to trigger the creation of the actual journal.
• Posted journals can be reverted by creating a reversal reallocation journal.
• Reversal journals are treated as new draft journals and must be manually submitted and approved.

Journals that have already been reverted cannot be reverted again. However, reversal journals can themselves be reverted.

Note: Whether journals are submitted or approved automatically depends on a set of company-specific system parameters. These are enabled by default. For details, see the System Parameters section of the Reference Guide.

A new company-specific system number named Job Reallocation must be configured to support this functionality. For details, see the System Numbers section.
